Adult Services:
Individuals are assessed and a treatment recommendation is made based on
American Society for Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria (ASAM
Criteria).
Typically, some combination of individual counseling and group treatment is
recommended. The groups meet four days a week and consist of two types.
- Educational Group
- Meets for three hours
- Focuses on a specific topic each group
- Process Group
- Meets for one hour and thirty minutes
- Focuses on interpersonal interactions and supporting the other
members
There are three levels of care offered to adults
-
Individuals who do not have a substance use diagnosis may receive early
intervention services with the focus of reducing those things that make it
more likely to use substances.
-
Individuals recommended to outpatient treatment may receive up to eight
hours of treatment per week.
- Individuals
recommended to intensive outpatient treatment may receive nine or more hours
of treatment per week.
